Review: In the film, James DeMonaco writer / director, effective hook for your attention, but then as things interesting maybe dont develop as expected. Its too bad, because like others have said, the material * potential *, but this is ultimately a product of Hollywood, where the hue is known shoved aside invasion siege / home favor of a scenario type. His black and watchable, and some decent moments of suspense, and a bit of gore - but thats not to say the film was incompetently that the viewer will likely end up in Hawke thinks all before.Ethan, Assault whod on Precinct 13 remake that starred DeMonaco wrote, is front and center here, James Perry, a security system as a seller. He and his family live in future years (2022 to be exact) where the government believes its aggressive instincts figured out how to channel their citizens - to allow 12-hour period once a year, a purge, where the offense is allowed to duplicate, and all their pent up hostility can be dropped. Watermelon and their loved ones caught in an untenable situation when his son Charlie (Max Burkholder) thereof to give sanctuary to injured stranger (Edwin Hodge), who tormentors, well-spoken young man (Rhys Wakefield), led some members of the audience to come soon so they can go calling.Whats However, like so many films of this type, the characters act rationally to serve the purpose of the story. Still managed to boil the bloodlust, that person may end up biting the family just as suddenly as dumb as they want to make their enemies. Finally, its hard not yelling at screen.The actors do what they can do with the script and dialogue. Co-starring Lena Headey always watchable wife / mother, Adelaide Kane bratty, sullen as a child, Arija Bareikis as annoying neighbor, Grace, and veteran Chris Halverson Mr. MULKEY local area. Wakefield is the clear standout Australian actress, whos gang.This chillingly not kill civilians as the leader of the film quite well, but the time will inevitably leave some viewers. Maybe things will get a little more intriguing are the inevitable sequel.Six 10.
