Review: Sweet, funny, honest coming-of-age dramedy that plays as a period piece, though its set in the present day. Tempering bold and subtle spirit, said with humor and introverted character known Bittersweet mood, its spiritual successor of John Hughes golden age in the mid 80s. Liam James is beautifully awkward as quiet, brooding teen storys epicenter, using a thorough deep, entertaining roles. No matter how small, every character has its own purpose and motivation, enrich the landscape and tickling the curiosity of viewers with a tangle of warm, colorful plots. Steve Carell will get a lot of attention in its unexpected turn as a self-centered douchebag boys stand-in father, but Sam Rockwell is deeper than it seems-manager Burnout splash park is a real show stealer. Strong, heartfelt and meaningful return to adolescence on each whos ever felt out of place in my own skin.
