Review: Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching Charlie & The Chocolate Factory is Wilkinson American Movie Day. It's amazing, I was dear! Dont expect a dark remake of fun (and quite psychedelic) 1971 edition. It is in every way an authentic Tim Burton movie, on top of beautiful images, funny humor and bizarre characters, but at the same time faithful amino g the spirit of the book. Roald Dahl wouldve been proud of. It is also excellent performances throughout the cast. Johnny Depp gives us a strange, almost creepy Willy Wonka, Freddie Highmore is perfect for Charlie, Grandparents are lovable and funny, and five other children and their parents are pleasant annoying. And last but not least, great soundtrack by Danny Elfman, Sir, reminiscent of both Edward Scissorhands and his early Oingo Boingo-days. Going to see this with your parents, children, grandparents, a movie buff, friends, nieces and nephews ... they have equal happy!
